  Update: BAD OWNERSHIP
  The owner Bill Holland is at it again! He wants more money.
  In another Google Review below: 3 years ago Bill ordered his managers (since he hates doing it) to call hundreds of delinquent (month-to-month) accounts and threaten past customers to send them to collections. Even if they haven't been inside for years. Now he is at it again.
  
  Old review (2014):
  I recommend this place to anyone in PB.
  Pros: Outdoor access right next to the beach, steam room, other workout classes and $20
  Cons: not the newest equipment (but my last gym was the SDSU ARC, so still good)

  This place is gross, falling apart and just run by clowns with no business experience. Sauna broken or the steam room is broken 99% of the time. You get people training for their “MMA” fight on the one bag hanging from off centered chains... dirt poor gym
