  Yoga, in my mind was just to sit quiet, a sheer waste of precious time. However, it all changed,when I entered SolYoga studio aimlessly while waiting for friends in front of the AMC at La Jolla Village square. Charlie greeted with a big smile and suggested to take advantage of UCSD students discount. Despite listening to my skepticism, he insisted to try it at least for few days.
  What I found, contrary to my pre-conceived notions about yoga practice, it was full regiment of exercise for deep tissues in a way that that the body enjoys it when mind and body are synchronized, instead of being afraid of strenuous exercise. To my own surprise, it not only helped me to overcome the stressful and busy schedule as a scientist but also changed my views about my work, life and humanity in general. SOUND BIG WORDS but it took me ~ 400 days of regular practice to come to this conclusion.
  "one can change the whole wold around themselves by controlling his/her own responses to any situation" It is the key to self realization and much deeper than you may think. In short, I love practicing yoga and YES it has an added physical and spiritual value, only if one is open minded, allowing mind to enter into a world of feelings not of spoken words. Thanks to all of my teachers at Sol Yoga.
